To whom it may concern:
This company hides behind the contract that they bring into your home, but they seem to have forgotten; they have a legal binding contract as well. When they break the contract, they don't seem to notice, but we did. Since there were so many problems w our service from this company, I won't go into ALL of the details here, but I will say: 1. They set up our system w a false password (our last name butchered) 2. it took them 6 months to respond to a system that was set up improperly 3. I have a number of notes, paperwork and recorded conversations to back up all of my claims.
They had to nerve to offer us $5 off/month OR collections. Gee, thanks, looks like you really looked into this file. The fact is that the service provider (Monotronics) was able to see all of the mistakes that American Alarm made and apologized profusly.
I hope nobody has to endure the stress and annoyance that this company has created in my household. There are a number of articles and complaints that I am putting together to expose the extreme lack of service, integrity, and regulation that this company has provided. Consider my situation as a "research expose" into the fraudulent world of American Alarm Co in Phoenix AZ.
You can also file complaints with your local Police dept., the City, BBB, Monotronics, the city in which they operate, the Contracting lic, and local media. There are great resources for customers who have been burned.
If you would like to contact me with your situation, I would be happy to include your story with my rants. I am also looking into filing a class action lawsuit- or at the very least, taking them to small claims court.
The amount of money that they want to collect is not a lot, but I am a person that values integrity and responsibility and American Alarm does not have these values. This is a matter of principle and I will not give up until this is resolved. In the meantime, I hope to save other people the grief.
