Place your trust in Dr. Barry Eppley, and you may live to regret if for the rest of your life. Beneath Dr. Eppley's kind and caring facade lies an opportunistic, negligent surgeon whose talent for smooth talk and duplicity far exceed his surgical skills. Do not be fooled by his impressive list of credentials. Half of those "awards" and certificates can be acquired by any doctor who attends seminars in exchange for a cash fee. Dr. Eppley is also adept at working the system of research grants, funded by medical device and pharmaceutical companies, all of which present the participating surgeon with "certificates", which are nothing more than testimony of their participation in the company's clinical trials (i.e., experiments often using unsuspecting patients as human guinea pigs.)
On April 18, 2001, I entered Dr. Eppley's operating room in perfect health.. I awoke from his bizarre facelift procedure with my anatomy rearranged in a manner that has inflicted physical torture from the moment I awoke from anesthesia to the present.

After 4 1/2 years of deteriorating ability to breathe, swallow, lift my head, close my mouth, straighten my cervical spine, suffering intolerable pain, hearing loss, tinnitus and more... the worst aspect of this nightmare is the tragic realization that the most dangerous plastic surgeons are the "board certified" variety. For this elite segment of the medical profession stoops to its lowest unethical behavior in protecting its confreres by turning a blind eye to the misdeeds of its membership.

If you think doctors never sacrifice patients' health and well-being to protect their reputations, you are mistaken.   When it comes down to the bottom line, which may be YOUR health.. YOUR life.. even the "best" of them will circle their wagons to protect an unscrupulous colleague. They protect their own, and patients pay the price.

Perhaps they lack the courage to speak out against negligence when they see it, for fear of placing their own positions at risk. Or maybe they look upon the injured and suffering patient as just another statistic in a table of calculated risk.   The capacity of the medical profession for rationalization of its misdeeds is unfathomable, as is its ability to dupe the public into acceptance of blatant lies and medical double talk.

You, who have taken the time to seek information about Dr. Barry Eppley, will never know about the many other patients he has injured. While I am willing to expose myself to vicious attack by the medical profession for speaking the TRUTH, the majority of patients damaged by negligent doctors are too weakened or intimidated to do so. Those who resort to lawsuits against offending doctors are silenced by their attorneys as they traverse the legal system, while the majority of those who have won settlements are bound by gag orders against speaking about the offending doctor.    While I have chosen a difficult path, I cannot blame others for remaining silent when they realize they must martyr themselves in an attempt to prevent others from suffering a similar fate.

They say the most dangerous people are those who have nothing to lose. If my commitment to exposing the blatant LIES, unethical behavior and lack of surgical skill regarding Dr. Eppley and doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital makes me "dangerous" to their reputations, they have only themselves to thank. For THEY are responsible for leaving me with nothing worthwhile left to loose... UNSCRUPULOUS practitioners of cosmetic surgery and the medical profession itself, have robbed my life of the most important thing that made it worthwhile ... my GOOD HEALTH. You will never know the insignificance of your concern regarding "appearance", until that which is truly precious has been destroyed. You are placing far more than you think at risk when you opt to undergo cosmetic surgery.

Do not think the nightmares happen to other people. Do not think you are too healthy, well informed, intelligent, savvy, or experienced to end up the VICTIM of an unprincipled, underskilled and overly aggrandized surgeon whose high profile and good reputation more accurately reflect his advertising budget and propensity as a bullshit artist than his surgical skill or ethics.

Read about the details of my experience, review medical reports, photographs, and letters from doctors. Piece the puzzle together for yourself. Then consider yourself smart the next time you view ANY doctor with a critical eye. Do not invest your TRUST in any surgeon on the basis of his demeanor. Do not entirely believe or trust reports from his "happy" patients. If you do not suffer from severe disfigurement from disease, trauma or congenital defect, DO NOT RISK YOUR PRECIOUS HEALTH BY UNDERGOING COSMETIC SURGERY. People who have successful surgery and proclaim their lives to be changed for the better through improvement of their appearance, are really saying they value the superficial things in life, and would probably derive more gratification through admiring their image in every reflective surface they pass, than appreciating the beauty of nature. Think about it. Recognize and appreciate all that is OUTSIDE YOUR EXTERIOR SELF. Your life will be richer. Take the money you have saved for that cosmetic surgery and do something life affirming with it.

Thanks very much for your support.
