Our AA flight from Denver was 20 minutes late getting into Dallas. We had 20 minutes to run from our gate to the new gate for our flight to Corpus Christi. We got out the airport map so we knew exactly where to go and literally ran to our connecting flight. We arrived at 8:50 for a 9:05 departure, we were checked in. The gate was closed though the plane was sitting at the gate. We waved at the crew standing on the ramp, they ignored us. THe plane ended up leaving without us.We caught a girl at the ticket desk, she said she was on her way home, my wife "talked" her out of leaving. She issued us a hotel and meal voucher and put us on the next days flight. NO APPOLOGY!!! NONE! The hotel was 25 minutes from the airport (the ones at the airport were to expensive). The hotel cafe was closed, so much for meal vouchers.
Everyone we talked to at AA had the same "its your fault we don't care" attitude. We were even called a liar by the customer care rep in Dallas. She said we could not have made it from our arrival gate to our departure gate in 5 minutes. We challenged her to walk it with us, she declined.
Don't fly AA! In my opinion, they are worthless. Fly Southwest, they care about customers...
