My 24 hour fitness, in Thousand Oak, California is not cooled properly, and when busy it is oppressive. Members fight over standing next to the small air conditioner that has been placed in one corner of the work-out room. Staff is generally unresponsive or defensive when asked about problems and many of the members including myself have been told that the temperature can only be control by the corp. office (what a joke). I’ve been a member for a year now and I have been told numerous times by other members that making calls or trying to speak to the operation manager or the staff is useless. Boy, were they right!! I have called the corporate office 3 times and have been told each time that the regional manager will contact me within 72 hours! I’m still waiting.After leaving five phone messages for the Operation Manager at the club,I finally received a call and was promised that they would look into it and fix ALL but one of the air conditioner vent that is currently working in the room. Yesterday I almost past-out from the heat while working-out in the class room. Well, I hope filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau will help! I encourage other members to do the same.
