On Friday 30 November 2007, a young lady called my house and asked if I was steve. She then asked for my last four of my social security number. I would not give that info out. She asked for my address and I would not give it out. She told me she would keep calling me back until I gave her that information. She never once told who she was or who she worked for. The caller ID did not pick up any company but I got the phone number. I called back and the gentlemen answered the phone and I asked to talk to their supervisor which was shelly. A gentleman picked up the phone and said he was the manager. He said that this lady was only trying to verify who I was so they could talk to the right person. I told him that she did not identify herself. He said that they were taught to get the information first. This is not a good practice in debt collecting and I believe it is unethical at best.
