The head clerk at the 99 Cents Only store in Vallejo Ca. was so rude to me! When I first entered the store, my 3 year old son wanted one of the plastic pumpkins she was using as part of the display. She told him he could not have it, I asked if they were for sale and she told me I could get one from the Halloween aisle. Then, the lines to check out were snaking down the other aisles, there were only two open on a weekend! Finally she opens her lane, and goes to get the first person, and the two behind him follow. In other stores, the clerk gets the first person and the others fall in line from there. If it is different in this store she should have told us. There was a guy who was NOT in the other line, he was in front of me, and he got into line behind the first guy. The people behind were confused, I said that in other stores, the clerk gets the next person from an open line then after that we have to form a line in a civil manner. About 30 seconds go by and she says to me that I am not next, the guy behind me is and I said, well my things are already on the belt. She said that was ok and had the guy come around to the front. Then when it was my turn, she said nothing to me except, signature, and receipt. Then when I walked away, she said that she did not care what I thought, what she says goes and did not care if I am upset. I am speaking to the manager tomorrow, and I have already called corporate offices and emailed them and Ethics Point.
