For 14 months my daughter's phone has been automatically checking its voicemail up to three times per minute, even when she does not have her phone. Alltel has told me that it is a problem with their system, but no one has been able to fix it. So each month, as it charges one minute each time it checks the e-mail, I get these huge bills. I call Alltel each and every month, sometimes several times, and go through the same explanation about the problem with someone new each time of course. I usually get transferred to at least three other deparments then usually back to customer service where I started. They do agree to make adjustments to the bill and flag the account so that service is not interrupted. Several times while they were supposedly adjusting the bill the phone service would be shut off even though I had been assured that would not happen. When I call them back they demand that I pay some exorbitant amount before service will be restored. As these phones belong to my daughters I have paid just to get service restored. Today I called customer service to have the service terminated. I got an argumentative lady who offered my new phones not to cancel. I told her I just wanted to cancel, but due to the terrible service over the last 14 months I would never pay any early disconnet fees, and they still needed to adjust the bill for all the current overcharges. She said I would have to talk with a supervisor in Tech Support to discuss this matter. I questioned why Tech Support, but she transferred my any way. Tech support said they could not help me with that so I hung up. I then called financial services, and they told me I needed to talk to customer service about the matter.Same old thing they have done to me for the last 14 months make promises, over bill me, and never fix the problem. You can't even cancel service without a run around.
