Not only was the vehicle damaged while it was being loaded (repair estimates of $716.27 and $854.53), I HAD MY LIFE THREATENED when it was delivered by IRATE PSYCOPATH MICHAEL W. BERG (DBA: On Time Transport, apparently a sub-contractor of Absolute Auto Carriers, Inc), because I didn't want to take his on-the-spot cash offer of $150.00 for the damages HE inflicted!

Also, this was in DIRECT and COMPLETE VIOLATION of the "Terms and Conditions" on the website of Absolute Auto Carriers [http://absoluteautocarriers.com/terms.html], where it states (in part): "INSURANCE: Your car is fully insured, during the overland transportation, in case of a transport damage as per carriers / truckers liability and cargo insurance. [...] You will be required to obtain 2 estimates for the damage and submit to Absolute Auto Carriers......"

IT SAYS *NOTHING* ABOUT A CASH SETTLEMENT BEING REQUIRED, ON THE SPOT, FOR DAMAGE INFLICTED!

I told Mr. Berg that I thought $150.00 was grossly insufficient for repairing what damage was done, when Mr. Berg WENT BALLISTIC, GOT 4" FROM MY FACE, YELLED AT ME, AND THREATENED TO HIT ME!!!
He then told me (in no uncertain terms) that I "GOT SCREWED ON THIS PIECE OF SHIT" AND THAT "$150.00 WAS MORE THAN ENOUGHT TO FIX IT."
When I told Mr. Berg that $150.00 probably wouldn't even cover the parts, HE AGAIN FLEW INTO A MAD FIT OF RAGE - AND THREATEND A SECOND TIME TO HIT ME!!!!
HE THEN PROCEEDED TO REINSTALL THE CHAINS THAT SECURED THE VEHICLE TO HIS TRAILER!!! (He did this THREE TIMES, within 30 minutes!)

DURING MR. BERG'S INFURIATED TIRADE, HE TOLD ME THAT IF I DID NOT ACCEPT HIS OFFER OF $150.00 FOR DAMAGE SETTLEMENT, THAT HE WOULD TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A STORAGE/IMPOUND FACILITY, AND THAT DAILY STORAGE FEES WOULD THEN ACCRUE, UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT I *WOULD* AGREE TO HIS (UNACCEPTABLY LOW) OFFER!

So, I begrudgingly accepted $175.00 (I got him to add a paltry $25.00 to his original offer, though risking physical assault - YET AGAIN! - to do so) and signed the Bill Of Lading UNDER DURESS, in order to avoid extra charges that would have to be paid before I could take delivery of my DAMAGED vehicle.

Also, it was January 4, and was EXTREMELY COLD, about 20º with a 20-30 MPH wind - the wind chill factor was probably well below zero - it was so cold our pens would not write!
I am 62, diabetic, with other disabilities, and cannot stand extended exposure to such temperature extremes, so I was more than anxious to take delivery of my car, get this meeting over with, and get back inside, to prevent further illness and discomfort, not to mention further damages to my vehicle.

I will try to make short, an already too-long report, by saying that Christopher Cerrato (owner of AAC, Inc) originally gave the impression that he "was there to help" with this unfortunate (and, as he himself stated: "TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE") incident, but in actuallity he was simply stringing me along, with no appreciable results.

It all boils down to the fact that neither of these shysters wants to take responsibility for the damage, and neither will submit my claim to their insurance carriers, BUT THEY SURE ARE GOOD AT TRYING TO PASS THE BUCK, and they expect me to just accept this fact: NO INSURANCE COVERAGE!!!

You'd do *MUCH BETTER* to choose some other transport company, than to have Absolute Auto Carriers, Inc., haul YOUR car!

There will also be other reports of this FRAUD posted, on as many consumer complaint sites as I can find, until such time as a COMPLETE settlement has been made!
